Important & Valued Role
Each year students in Year 5 are invited to prepare and present a persuasive speech as part of their English curriculum learning in preparation for the annual student leadership elections.
Presenting to the school, students nominate for the positions of School and House Captains. Students are elected and shortlisted for an interview where they share why they want to be a member of the Year 6 Leadership Team.
The Year 6 Student Leadership Team are responsible for organising and running house events, leading weekly assemblies, supporting younger students throughout the school, coordinating fundraising events, and working with outside organisations and partners. It is an important, highly valued and respected role that many students aspire to.
